Context and challenge
The campus comprises several buildings with siloed subsystems, limited metering and reporting, and O&M that depended on manual rounds. Efficiency problems were found late and fixed slowly. The operator needed visibility and control before rebuilding anything.
What we did
- One platform: plant and building subsystems integrated so data is collected and displayed in one place.
- Data first: metering and acquisition completed to establish an energy baseline and rank the saving potential.
- Strategy optimisation: AI strategies layered on that data, with the plant optimised against real-time load.
- Expert O&M: SaaS monitoring with remote expert tuning; issues are found online and handled on site.
Result
Plant system EER now holds above 5.0 and the campus achieves a 28% energy saving. The combined online and on-site operating model moved maintenance from reactive repair to proactive detection.
For a campus the value is not only the saving rate: putting several buildings and subsystems onto one data model creates the basis for carbon reporting and future equipment decisions.
Connect the data, then optimise
| Phase | Deliverable | Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Diagnosis | Survey, metering completion, energy baseline | Baseline report |
| Integration | Plant and subsystems onto one platform | Campus energy platform |
| Optimisation | AI strategies and parameter tuning | Plant EER > 5.0 |
| Operation | SaaS monitoring + expert tuning | 28% saving (statistical) |
Campus savings depend on occupancy, trading hours and weather; annual re-verification is recommended.

We keep the full test record and strategy log for this project. If your plant looks similar, start with a measured audit before committing to a retrofit.
